Emotional Granularity Practice

Practising the small distinctions between emotion words. The difference between irritated and resentful, between tender and protective, between flat and tired and quietly sad. Most of us were handed a starter vocabulary as children and never asked to refine it. This module is a slow, no-pressure way to build a more precise one.

The practice is short and repeated. A handful of words a session, held next to each other, with examples and your own sense-check. Granularity tends to grow the way a garden does — not by force, but by returning.

What you'll do

Compare two or three closely related feeling words at a time. Notice which one fits the situation you have in mind, if any does. There's no quiz at the end and no right answer — the practice itself is the point.
